Challenge

Graphics can be crucial in transforming a space through 2D design, serving as a powerful tool to alter the environment’s atmosphere and the perception of a brand. With the right visual elements, even the most predictable or conventional architecture can be reimagined into something dynamic and immersive. Bold graphics, vibrant colors, and thoughtful layouts help tell a story, evoke emotions, and communicate a brand’s message. By strategically integrating graphics, the overall design becomes more cohesive and impactful, guiding the audience’s attention and creating a memorable interaction with the space.

 

Solutions

eBay – At GenCon, the original plan was to debut eBay’s ‘VAULT’ rollout, but a last-minute delay forced a change in direction. With the architecture already in production, we had to pivot. Thanks to H&P’s graphic design team, we developed an engaging comic book-inspired design that resonated perfectly with the event’s audience while seamlessly aligning with eBay’s brand. Despite the shift from the initial high-security ‘Vault’ concept, we successfully transformed the space into a visually impactful and memorable branded environment.

 

Cybereason Hunting Lodge – At BlackHat, Cybereason sought a creative way to engage clients on the show floor, settling on a ‘hunting lodge’ theme. However, using actual wood materials quickly became cost prohibitive. To bring their vision to life, H&P provided alternative surfaces that resembled wooden cabin walls. From the overhead signage to the demo station graphics, we carefully color-matched every element to ensure the design remained true to the original concept. This approach allowed us to achieve the desired aesthetic while keeping material costs down, successfully capturing the essence of the hunting lodge theme.

 

Gensavis – Entering the retail-pharmaceutical trade show area, Gensavis was excited to debut their new vitamin supplement—a deliciously flavored product designed to appeal to both kids and adults, making the daily supplement experience more enjoyable. They showcased ‘larger-than-life’ displays that replicated the vibrant packaging of their product, featuring eye-catching phrases like ‘WOW!’ and ‘YUM!’ to draw attendees in and create curiosity about the supplement. The bold graphics created a striking presence on the show floor, ensuring they stood out and captured the attention of all who passed by.
